The optimist club is doing a raffle sale instead of our 300 club reverse raffle. We are selling 4000 tickets at $5 each the prize giveaways are $8000, $1000, $500, and 2-$250. Contact a member to get your ticket.
The Bazetta Cortland Optimist Club was formed by people who wanted to reach out to help youth and the community.
People like you and me. Optimist Club Members live or work in the community. Our members have joined together to serve others and promote Optimisim as a way of life. The main source of revenue for the club comes from bingo.
Over the past 14 years the club has donated over $616,000 into various projects throughout the Bazetta Cortland area supporting the young kids.
The Bazetta Cortland Optimist Club hold several events throughout the year. Like the 300 Club, Annual Christmas Craft Show, Skating Party for Kids, Fishing Derby, Summer Enrichment program for Special Needs Children and Donation to Boot Scootn Buckeyes Rider Group.
Bazetta Cortland Optimist Club Honors TCTC Student
The Bazetta Cortland Optimist Club presented a "Certificate of Appreciation" to Charles Marin a student in the Web Design Class at the Trumbull Career & Technical Center for the design of the club's new web page. The club treated the class to lunch at the School's Cove Restaurant.

The Optimist Club Of Bazetta Cortland Plays Host to the Trumbull County Special Needs Enrichment Picnic.
The Special Needs Summer Enrichment Program last for 5 weeks during the summer months and includes Field Trips, games and learning activities.
There were over 100 volunteers from the program at the picnic and the Optimist club provided the Hot Dogs and Drinks. The Bazetta Fire Department brought a fire truck
to spray a mist of water for the kids to cool off. Everyone had a great time.
Local Scouting Groups Attend Scrappers Game.
The Optimist Club of Bazetta Cortland treated it's members and guest , along with Scouts, Troop 54, and Venture Group 4054. to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers game on July 17th. There were about 70 people who attended the game. This was a way saying thanks to the scouts for their help throughout the year with many of the clubs activities.
They got to witness Simeon Lucas for the Scrappers hit a grand slam and who drove in six runs during a 17-hit attack by MV as the Scrappers beat Batavia, 11-5, at Eastwood Field.
